How to read this calendar

Seven things are worth knowing before you read a single line of it.

• These are other organisers' events. Tantra Studio does not run, host, book or take payment for any of them, and a listing is not an endorsement of the event or of the organiser.
• Every entry is sourced and dated. The organiser is named, the source it was read from is named, and the date it was checked sits beside it. Where an organiser's own page was reachable, the entry was re-checked against that page and says so.
• Nothing is ranked. The order is by date. There is no best-retreats list here and there will not be one. Nothing on this page is paid, sponsored or affiliated.
• Explicit formats are left off on purpose. Events framed around explicit or sexual-shamanic practice are excluded, as is anything outside the Bali area and anything recorded only as background. The omissions are recorded in the calendar's data file with a reason for each, so an exclusion is a decision you can audit rather than a gap.
• Dates belong to the organiser. They change, and this page is a snapshot of what was announced at the check date on each line. Confirm with the organiser before you plan travel around a date.
• No price is reproduced here. Where an organiser publishes a figure, it is on the organiser's own page. This page does not restate it, and no figure on this site belongs to anyone but the studio's own services.
• Uncertainty is shown, not smoothed. An entry whose dates carried no year, or whose organiser two sources disagree about, says so on the line. That is deliberate: a calendar that invents a firm detail is worse than one that admits the gap.

What kind of tantra events happen around Ubud and Bali?

Four shapes show up again and again, and they answer different questions. Retreats are residential and multi-day, usually with a couple focus or a themed window. Trainings and courses are the professional rung: tantra massage training, tantra yoga teacher training, facilitator trainings aimed at people who already practise. Workshops and immersions are shorter and often single-topic. Recurring community formats are the jams and evenings that need no booking and no prior experience, and they are where a lot of people actually start.

Is this a list of Tantra Studio's own retreats?

No. Tantra Studio runs no retreats, no trainings and no residential courses in Bali. Every entry on this calendar belongs to another organiser, and the studio does not host, book, take payment for, or endorse any of them.

Why does a studio that runs no retreats publish a calendar of them?

Because people ask. Questions about tantra retreats, tantra trainings and tantra massage courses in Bali arrive through the studio's channels, and its own pages answered none of them. Rather than describe a retreat the studio does not run, this page publishes what the area actually offers, with the organiser named and the source and check date on every line.

How is each entry sourced?

Every entry carries the organiser's name, the source it was read from — usually an announcement in a Telegram group or a WhatsApp group the studio is already in, and sometimes the organiser's own public page — and the date the entry was checked. Where an organiser's own page could be reached it was re-checked against that page and the entry says so. An entry that could not be re-checked keeps its original check date rather than today's.

What is deliberately left off the calendar?

Formats that are explicitly sexual or sexual-shamanic are left off on purpose, as is anything outside the Bali area and anything recorded only as background context. Omitting a listing is a decision rather than an oversight: the excluded items and the reason for each are recorded in the calendar's own data file.

Are the events on this page ranked, or paid for?

Neither. This is not a best-retreats page: the order is by date, not by opinion. Nothing here is sponsored, paid for or affiliated, and the studio earns nothing from a listing.

Are the dates and prices on this page up to date?

The check date on each entry is the honest answer to that. Dates, venues, formats and prices belong to the organiser and can change without notice. No price figure is reproduced on this page at all — where an organiser publishes one, it lives on the organiser's own page. Confirm anything you plan around with the organiser directly.

Is there a tantra retreat in Bali for couples, or for someone travelling alone?

Both appear in the area. The calendar lists a couples retreat that was announced for February, a two-day retreat where either day can be attended on its own, and open community formats such as a recurring Ubud evening jam. Nothing is sorted by who it suits beyond the audience the organiser itself stated.

Where do tantra trainings and tantra massage courses happen in Bali?

The professional rungs in this calendar sit with a small number of schools and facilitators: a tantra massage training, a fifty-hour tantra yoga teacher training, a five-day certified tantra massage training, and a workshop programme at a Ubud retreat centre. One Russian-language school listed here runs its retreats in Goa and its courses online.

Does Tantra Studio offer anything itself while I am in Bali?

Yes — consent-led tantra massage and somatic sessions in Ubud and the surrounding area, arranged by request. The studio runs no retreat and no group training.
